J. Edward Ketz is Associate Professor of Accounting in the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University. He has been a member of the Penn State faculty since 1981. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science, a masters degree in accountancy, and a Ph.D. in business administration, all from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Ketz’s teaching and research interests focus on financial accounting and accounting ethics. He has published numerous articles, has written eight books, and has edited nine books. He is the author of Hidden Financial Risk, which explores the cause of recent accountign scandals. He also has edited Accounting Ethics, a four-volume set that explores ethical thought in accounting since the Great Depression and across several countries.
Dr. Ketz has been cited in the popular and business press, including Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Business Week, and USA Today, primarily about proper accounting methods. He also has been a frequent guest on CNNfn.
