PwC will lead a team of service and software companies to provide for software development, integration, system deployment and post-deployment support for The Army Distance Learning Program. The learning management solution will leverage a range of commercial-off-the-shelf products. The contract is valued at $27 million over eight years.

The Web-enabled system will provide the foundation for scheduling, management, and delivery of Army training. It will provide a fully automated, seamless and Web-accessible Army training and education network that will integrate the Army's 400 digital training facilities and enable individual soldiers to access training resources both in classrooms and at home.

The PwC team includes Science Applications International Corporation, Saba Software, Inc., REMtech Services, ACS Systems & Engineering Inc., and O'Connell and Associates.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded PwC, in partnership with Oracle and Electronic Data Systems, a $328.4 million deal to revamp the Medicare and Medicaid accounting system.
